Eight people have died in 2007 in motorcycle accidents on state roads and Washington State Troopers are concerned.

Troopers are worried about the high number and say it is too early in the season to have so many fatal accidents.

On Monday, there was a serious motorcycle accident after a man lost control of his bike while getting off an exit ramp on Highway 14. Authorities say he was going to fast and lost control on the curve. Troopers say speed is often a factor in most motorcycle accidents.

Statistics show in 2006, 82 people died, in motorcycle accidents in Washington. Troopers say motorcycles have become increasing popular these days because of the increasing prices of gas.
